25k walk in memory of Deborah Liles

Story

I am taking part in the 25k Thames Bridges Trek on September 8th, along with my auntie Sarah, sister in law Anna and her sister Clare.

I am walking in memory of my mother Deborah who lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer in 2010. Donations will go towards Ovarian Cancer Action who we have been supporting since 2010 and have raised £8253 to date. We usually have a fundraising day each year in memory of mum but this year we are taking part in this event to continue with our fundraising.

Another family member devastatingly has Ovarian Cancer too, she is still fighting and I am incredibly amazed at how far research has come since mum was diagnosed. Different forms of chemotherapy are now being used, there are more drug trials and different methods being used to prolong precious lives. All thanks to advances in research funded by donations from people like you.

I am not the fittest person in the world so I am currently dieting and training to get myself ready to walk the 16 miles. This will be my biggest physical achievement to date and I know my mum would be so proud of us.

Please donate anything you can at all, anything is much appreciated and helps massively!

Thank you for your donations, love Sophie  xxxx
